vintage Rookwood Pottery cabinet,bookcase or table vase,handcrafted gorgeous Art Deco mid-century design with two geometric, buttressed handles on the bulbous vase.
Condition: Beside minor scratches, scuffs and glaze rubs on the vase from decades of gentle usage,there is No chips, no cracks, no crazing and no sign of repairs.
Overall, the vase is relatively clean with some noticeable light mineral staining inside and out from decades of gentle usage displays. Please Review all pics, message me for further clarification.
Dimension:
Roughly 4-1/2” tall, 2-3/4” wide at open top,about 4-1/4” wide at the handles and 12” circumference in the largest part of the body.
Under the base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 63 and the production year XL (1940).
The glaze is the work of Art, beautifully glazing in matte, turquoise-blue underneath,and a darker-blue crystalline overdrip flows down to the flat ground level base. You can see
the crystallized glaze runs down onto the body of the vase and each handles.
It is perfect for Rookwood or American art pottery collectors/lovers. -
