Handmade Safari /Tropical Styled Necklace,Crafted From Bakelite And Acrylic Plastic Beads On Synthetic Text Styled Plastic Chain

Looking for something in vintage retro, tropical safari looks, big and bold style without the weight added to your neck.
This necklace will make your neckline beautiful for any tropical liked environment,beach party,pool party,cruise vacation at the captain dinner table etc
It can be worn as casual or dress up with prints or many solid colors,this necklace has generous versatility to unisex adult.


I created this necklace piece from Plastic Acrylic chains and multi-colored beads,added 9 Bakelite poker chips as circle discs-3 on front and 3 each side in red, greenish black and butterscotch. Bakelite discs were connected (stack) by copper tubes. Acrylic plastic chained pieces were connected by large copper jump rings, acrylic beads were connected by brass wire.
All my jewelry creations have been inspired by vintage jewelry books from 1920s to mid- century vintage retro style designs. Per this necklace I combined antique poker chips with modern acrylic multi colored beads and two large blacks Randal beads from old jewelry,connected by acrylic plastic chains ,brass wire and jump rings and copper crimps,creating from copper tubing.


I love big and bold jewelry pieces. Unfortunately after open skull surgery, metal jewelry became an issue to wear longer than an hour.
I started using plastic, Bakelite game pieces to create beautiful jewelry earrings,necklace and bracelets. I upcycle vintage jewelry pieces into beautiful retro jewelry . I hope you continue browsing my shop if this one does not meet your need.

My parents,brothers and sisters escaped from Cambodia ,seeked rescue in Refugee camp in Thailand near Cambodian border 1979, while Khmer rouge resistances still fought with Vietnamese-Cambodian coalitions. On November, 1980, my whole family was brought to the United States by Lutheran Church. We had nothing started out. I helped with making ends meet during my high school
years, by cleaning the houses of elderly church members.I was given used stuffs to bring home.
In college, I worked for Antiques college mall. That was when I fall in love with antiques or Vintages at very early age. Even after making good income as software developer, I still do treasure hunting at Goldwills,salvation army,yard sale,auction ,antique shops etc
After serious car accident 2011,I was asked to go on long term disability. I refused. 2016. I was let go. My income was decreased dramatically and monthly medical bills pile up.Thankfully, Etsy came to the rescue for selling my collection.
