  Listing is for one vintage Schmid miniature novelty musical thyme dancers on arms of Balance Wheels, west German mechanical 8-day wind-up mantle clock. The clock with dancers on the arms of Balance Wheels,
  rotates in one direction, to the right,looking from the front, or from the back. There are 4 Balance Wheels arms, each has one dancer ,standing on it.
  There are two male dancers,two female dancers. Each dancer wears German novelty custom.
  
  We are living in the fast pace world,and appreciate the essence of time, such as
  quartz and satellite precision time.
  However, I appreciate German ancestors,especially in the Black Forest town,where so many mechanical clocks were manufactured during pre or and post WW2.
  This clock is one of the novelty mechanical clock by Schmid-Schlenker. Every ticking of this clock,will be soothing. I hope this clock will help West German ancestor with preserving or remembrance of the time passed, treasuring the childhood memories. The clock will make a great heirloom .
  
  Per American Ancestors,If you have the memories of the man came home with this clock after WW2;it is a wonderful piece of story teller for many generations.
  
  This clock does not have pendulum but instead has a balance wheel. The counts the oscillations of the balance wheel, which is attached to a spring. As the wheel turns, it winds the spring. There is a small lever close to the balance wheel with markings indicating slower (-) or faster (+). Simply move the lever in the appropriate direction. The lever moves along the outer coil and changes the effective length of the spring. Above dial,marked “Schmid” in cursive and underneath 6 o’clock dial, marked West Germany.
  I could not find any documentation on this clock. I am monitoring to learn about it.
  
  
  The clock rare,and very hard to come by.
  In the back of this clock,as shown in last photo with diagrams and text describing what each functionality is, a function to wind up the clock for 8 day to the fullness, a function to advance the second hand until time is correct per hour,minute and second, pointing on the face of the clock, A function to adjust/regulate the speed of the clock, If the metal level is lowered to the negative side the clock will run slower and if metal lever is raised to positive sign the clock will run faster. A slight turn about a 1/4 of a turn will gain or reduce the clocks speed by about 1 minute or so.
  The Schmid Clock Manufacturer was in operation in west Germany during the Mid century (1941-1969), and the miniature novelty music thyme dancers as pendulum swings mechanical clock was manufactured around 1950-1959.
  
  Dimensions approximately 6” high by 5.5” wide.
  
  Condition Beside starburst liked crack to lucite clear oval dome, shown in last photo,scattered patina to oval brass base,everywhere else is in excellent working condition.
  
  The listings is vintage retro conditions, which can be inevitable subjective judgmental accepted reactions.
